For months, all folks heard about at wideout was chatter regarding Ole Miss’ Laquon Treadwell and Baylor’s Corey Coleman, but the narrative can shift at any hour.

Such is the case here with TCU wideout Josh Doctson. A darling of the draft community before the rest of the landscape caught on, he comes in at 6’2″ and 202 pounds and pro-ready thanks to insane athleticism that lets him go up and get the ball at its peak.

It’s why the Cincinnati Bengals and Minnesota Vikings could do a bit of draft-day maneuvering to make sure they get him, according to NFL.com’s Gil Brandt, via Alex Marvez of FoxSports.com:

Both teams could use the help.

The Vikings don’t have Mike Wallace around, which leaves Stefon Diggs as the only notable pass-catcher to help young quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. Cincinnati’s situation isn’t as dire, but after losing Marvin Jones and Mohamed Sanu this offseason, A.J. Green and Tyler Eifert could have a harder time than usual getting open.
