Detroit calls up top pitching prospect Fulmer

DETROIT — Tigers fans won’t have to wait too long to see the organization’s top prospect in action.
Michael Fulmer, 23, will be recalled from Triple-A Toledo, according to manager Brad Ausmus, presumably to make his major league debut on Friday.

“He’s got stuff for sure,” Ausmus said. “He throws 95, he’s got a wipeout slider, but the big leagues is a little different. Guys have seen stuff like that before. You do have to locate your pitches but it certainly doesn’t hurt to have that type of stuff in your arsenal.”
