Gomez exits after getting hit by pitch

SEATTLE — Astros center fielder Carlos Gomez was removed from Wednesday’s 7-4 Astros win in the fourth inning after being hit on the right hand by a pitch thrown by Seattle’s Hisashi Iwakuma. Preston Tucker ran for Gomez at first base.
The Astros said X-rays were negative and Gomez is day to day with a right hand contusion.
