Warriors fine with Lakers interviewing Walton

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr told reporters Wednesday that Los Angeles Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak had asked for permission to interview Warriors assistant coach Luke Walton, per The Vertical’s Michael Lee. Golden State granted permission, but only after its first-round series against the Houston Rockets is over.
Walton served as interim coach for the Warriors for the first 43 games of the season, and they won 39 of them. He played …
