Butler back at big league level with Rockies

DENVER — The Rockies have summoned right-handed pitcher Eddie Butler from Triple-A Albuquerque. He will fill the spot of veteran lefty Jorge De La Rosa, who is headed to the 15-day disabled list with a left groin strain that forced him from Tuesday night’s 9-4 loss to the Pirates.
It was not immediately known when or whether Butler, 25, a supplemental first-round choice out of Radford University in 2012, would be added to the starting rotation. He is 2-0 with a 4.09 ERA in four starts at Albuquerque. Butler has gone six innings in each of his last three starts, with a …
