Kyrie Irving on Steph Curry, Chris Paul injuries: ‘It just sucks’

INDEPENDENCE, Ohio — Following a 2015 postseason run when Kyrie Irving’s left knee kept him out of seven of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 20 playoff games — and severely limited him in another three — the Cavs point guard is having a tough time seeing other players go through the same thing this spring.
Both the Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry (MCL sprain) and the Los Angeles Clippers’ Chris Paul (broken hand) suffered injuries in the first round that will sideline them for weeks, if not longer.
After grinding through an 82-game regular season, Curry and Paul saw their playoff plans detoured within the first two weeks of postseason play.
