CHICAGO — When the Philadelphia Eagles traded multiple picks to acquire the No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft from the Cleveland Browns, the intention appeared to be crystal clear.
Carson Wentz, the prospect most targeted by new head coach Doug Pederson’s praise in the past month, was the player the Eagles coveted.
Only Wentz said Wednesday at Grant Park on the shores of windy Lake Michigan that no one from the team has called him or his agent since the trade went down.
