Bond set for Manziel

Former Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel has spent the past couple of days in Ohio, but he won’t be there much longer, because by next week, he has to be in Texas.
Manziel, who was indicted on a misdemeanor assault charge on Tuesday, has to be in Texas by May 5 so he can turn himself into authorities. Judge Roberto Canas told ESPN.com that he’s given Manziel permission to turn himself in next week.
At the hearing on May 5, the judge will explain the terms of Manziel’s bond, which has been set at $1,500. Manziel will have to stay away from his ex-girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, and he also won’t be allowed to handle a firearm while out on bail. Manziel’s bond terms will not prohibit him from drinking.
