NFL draft season is a time when all kinds of criticism about a prospect can come out as teams do their digging to get a feel for a player.
Former Ohio State Buckeyes cornerback Eli Apple recently found himself facing a rather bizarre critique. And it had nothing to do with his play on the field.
According to Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, an anonymous scout said he was worried about Apple because the 20-year-old supposedly “has no life skills. At all.” On what basis did the scout say that? “He can’t cook.”
