Report: Blatt visits Phil, Rambis still front-runner

While teams like the Washington Wizards and Minnesota Timberwolves have quickly hired top-name candidates to be their respective head coaches, the New York Knicks are still searching for theirs. Knicks president Phil Jackson has had conversations about the job with Warriors assistant coach Luke Walton though, and according to The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski, former Cleveland Cavaliers coach David Blatt has also met with the Zen Master.
Blatt would be a departure from Jackson’s insistence on having a coach that is familiar with the triangle. However, Blatt was college teammates with Knicks vice president Steve Mills, so perhaps this was just Jackson honoring a request by his colleague to meet with the former Cavs coach.
