Joe Hart is confident Manchester City can secure a positive result against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu and progress to their first ever Champions League final.
City and Madrid played out a tense goalless draw in their semi-final first-leg at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday, with Hart producing two stunning reflex stops to deny Casemiro and Pepe late on.
City’s only previous encounter with Madrid at the Bernabeu ended in a 3-2 group stage defeat in September 2012, but Hart believes he and his team-mates can make history by knocking out the 10-time European champions next Wednesday.
