Ichiro ties Frank Robinson on hits list

LOS ANGELES — With one free-and-easy swing, Ichiro Suzuki slapped a single to left field in the eighth inning of the Marlins’ 6-3 win over the Dodgers on Tuesday night, and the 42-year-old moved another notch up MLB’s all-time hits ladder.
Ichiro’s hit was No. 2,943 of his Major League career, which matches Hall of Famer Frank Robinson for 33rd in history.
