David Price focused on throwing ball better, not hitting vs. Braves

ATLANTA — If David Price was pitching better, maybe he would be more excited about testing his hitting chops Tuesday night against Atlanta Braves starter Matt Wisler.
But the Boston Red Sox ace has more important things to worry about.
“I want to go out there and pitch well. That’s my main focus for [Tuesday],” said Price, who will make his fifth Red Sox start in the finale of the Turner Field portion of a home-and-home series against the Braves. “I want to go out there and throw the baseball the way I know I can. And if I happen to get a hit, I know I’ll be very excited.”
Price is coming off one of the worst starts of his career, a 3-1/3-inning dud last Thursday at Fenway Park in which he allowed eight runs against the Tampa Bay Rays. And if it had been one isolated clunker, it would register as nothing more than a …
