Parsons recruiting Howard

Since joining the Dallas Mavericks, Chandler Parsons has acted as the team’s No. 1 recruiter, going above and beyond to woo free agents to join the team. Parsons and the Mavs famously struck out with DeAndre Jordan last summer, so the Mavs forward is getting a head start on his recruitment this offseason by making his pitch to Dwight Howard, who is still playing in the postseason with the Houston Rockets.
Howard can opt out of his contract and is expected to do so, not just to make more money but to also leave the Rockets. Parsons played with Howard in Houston and is hoping their friendship can persuade the …
