Oregon’s Tyree Robinson knows his way around the secondary … and the grill

EUGENE, Ore. — On the field, defensive back Tyree Robinson’s secret is that he learns everyone’s position in the secondary. He figures if he knows everything about every position (and this spring he has studied five different positions in the secondary), he gives the defense a better chance at being successful.
Off the field, his secret is brown sugar and honey.
Those are the keys that have made him the Oregon Ducks’ grill master. Players know that if Robinson is barbecuing, they want an invitation, and Robinson is successful on the grill because he has honed his technique (and her always adds some brown sugar and honey).

“He has like an old-man, old-uncle kind of technique,” senior defensive lineman Torrodney Prevot said of Robinson’s grill skills. “Like that one uncle that always loves to barbecue — that’s Tyree.”
