Recently, the legendary Bret ‘Hitman’ Hart spoke with Notts TV News and addressed a number of professional wrestling topics including whether he sees a parallel between Roman Reigns’ current run in WWE and Lex Luger’s failed push in 1993. Hart also discussed why Reigns is not connecting with the fans as WWE officials would like.
‘The Excellence Of Execution’ admitted that he sees a parallel between Reigns and Luger as WWE’s choice for top star, with Daniel Bryan playing Hart’s role as the strong wrestler who the fans rally around in spite of the chosen one’s push from the company.
“There is a parallel. They tried, I think, to keep CM Punk down and they tried to make him seem [like] he wasn’t big enough or wasn’t what they wanted to be the star of the show and the company and gave all the main event spots to all the musclebound guys, Batista and all these other guys, years ago and he quit.
