LB Hawk released by Bengals after 1 year

Veteran linebacker A.J. Hawk was released by the Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday, a little more than a year after they signed him in free agency.
Hawk’s release will give the Bengals a cap savings of $1.4 million this season.
While the move may have been expected following Karlos Dansby’s free-agency addition last month, the timing of it is still curious. Hawk’s release comes just three days before the NFL draft begins.
