Grand jury indicts Manziel on assault charge

Johnny Manziel is officially on trial. The former Browns quarterback was indicted by a Dallas grand jury in the assault case involving his former girlfriend Colleen Crowley.
Manziel is charged with one count of misdemeanor assault for a late January indicent with Crowley where he allegedly struck her during a car ride. Crowley alleges Manziel shattered her ear drum and struck her multiple times.
The primary attorney for Manziel, Jim Darnell, said his client will plead not guilty.
