Festival camping introduced for The Open

It is known as the Home of Golf but historic St Andrews is set for a music festival-style revamp when the Open Championship returns this summer.
Fans aged 25 and under attending the 145th Open at the 600-year-old course over July 10-17 will be able to camp on site for free, with 500 places available each night.
The Open Camping Village will be situated a short walk from Royal Troon at Marr Rugby Club with two, four and six-person pre-pitched tents featuring inflatable camping beds.
It certainly may not sound as raucous as England’s famous Glastonbury Festival but organisers the R&A are hoping to inject some youth appeal into the championship.
