Iran gear up for Rio 2016 qualification tournament

Tehran, Iran, April 26, 2016 – The Iranian men’s national team is stepping up the pace in their preparations for the World Olympic Qualification Tournament in Japan from May 28 to June 5.

Iran will face powerful oppositions such as Australia, Canada, China, France, Japan, Poland and Venezuela in the Round-Robin tournament. The best Asian team along with the three top-ranked teams in the tournament will get the tickets to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

After their training session, newly-appointed Argentine coach Raul Lozano answered questions of the media regarding the team’s edge over their rivals in the Olympic qualifier.
