96 ‘unlawfully killed’

The 96 Liverpool fans who died in the Hillsborough disaster were unlawfully killed, an inquest jury has concluded.
They have reached decisions on 14 questions about the tragedy that were put to them before they began their deliberations at the end of the longest jury hearing in British legal history.
The jurors have found that the supporters died due to crushing following the admission of a large number of fans through exit gates at the stadium on 15 April 1989 before an FA Cup semi-final.
