Dele Alli Facing Potential FA Ban After Appearing to Punch Claudio Yacob
- Updated: April 26, 2016
Tottenham Hotspur’s Dele Alli could be sanctioned by the FA and banned for Spurs’ run-in after he appeared to punch West Bromwich Albion’s Claudio Yacob in the stomach during Monday’s 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane.
Per Sky Sports’ Ben Nagle, the pair clashed in the Spurs penalty area during the opening 45 minutes, and Alli appeared “to throw a punch at Yacob’s stomach.”
Referee Mike Jones missed the incident at the time, but Alli could still face “retrospective action from the FA” that may lead to a three-match ban, per MailOnline’s Sami Mokbel.
