Just because Sam Bradford wants out of Philadelphia doesn’t mean it’s going to happen. Hours after Bradford demanded a trade out of Philly on Monday, a team actually called the Eagles inquiring about a possible deal.

According to Mike Klis of 9news.com in Denver, the Broncos called and asked about Bradford’s availability.

So what did the Eagles say?

The two sides couldn’t work out a deal because Philly’s “asking price was too high,” according to Klis.

It’s not clear what the Eagles wanted or what the Broncos offered, but no matter what it was, it was better than nothing, which is how the Eagles should’ve been thinking during the trade talks with Denver.

Keeping an unhappy quarterback on the roster likely isn’t going to work out well for either side and if you can get something in return for a disgruntled quarterback, you should almost always do it.

It’s not like a Bradford trade would kill the Eagles’ QB depth either, the team would likely still have two capable quarterbacks on the roster heading into training camp (Chase Daniel and the No. 2 pick).
