New York Yankees starter Nathan Eovaldi is capable of lighting up a radar gun like Mets counterpart Noah Syndergaard. But he’s rarely put together the kind of start expected from a pitcher who can approach 100 MPH on a radar gun.
Until Monday night.
Eovaldi took a no-hit bid into the seventh inning and departed after seven scoreless two-hit innings in Monday’s win over the Rangers. But he didn’t do it entirely with the heat.
