ATLANTA — If David Ortiz is going to make an impact in either of his final games in Atlanta, it likely will have to be in a pinch-hitting situation.
As expected, Ortiz wasn’t in the Boston Red Sox’s lineup on Monday night, with manager John Farrell planning all along to rest the 40-year-old designated hitter for the opener of a two-game interleague series against the Atlanta Braves.
