Rasmus, with 4 homers, is AL Player of Week

After a four-home-run week punctuated by a towering game-tying blast off Red Sox closer Craig Kimbrel with two out in the ninth inning on Sunday night in Houston, Astros left fielder Colby Rasmus took American League Player of the Week honors on Monday.
It was the second time the 29-year-old Rasmus has been named a Player of the Week, and he has now won the award in each league. Rasmus was the National League’s Player of the Week after the first week of June 2010, when he was a member of the Cardinals.
