April meetings for technical commissions in Vienna

Members of the EHF’s technical commissions met over several days in Vienna (21 to 23 April) in the latest of the year’s scheduled meetings.
Technical Delegation/CAN Advisory Board – based on the working areas defined at their last meeting in February, the chairs of the various technical commissions discussed the implementation of new developments in game administration including goal line technology and instant replay.
A further topic was the new IHF Playing Rules, set to come into force from 1 July 2016, and implications for European competitions in the next season. The first EHF event to be played with the new rules will be the European Open in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Upcoming education courses were highlighted including the 2016 edition of the EHF Club Management Seminar, which will focus on marketing strategies and take place in Cologne on the fringes of the VELUX EHF FINAL4, as well as the second of the European …
