Sooners sweeps Cowboys in Oklahoma derby with two milestones for Axel Alvarez

Oklahoma Sooners closed the regular season in the best possible way, scoring a commanding victory over Oklahoma State Cowboys as the guests at Greenwood Tennis Center. Senior Axel Alvarez will remember this tie for a long time after tying the Sonners records for a number of wins in a career and also in the singles. Oklahoma finished the season with 14-9 and 3-2 score in the conference brings them the 3rd seeding place in the Big 12 Championship. The Cowboys were off to a better start with Lucas Gerch/Jurence Mendoza taking the first doubles match by 6-2 against Spencer Papa/Alex Ghilea. The Sooners responded with a solid 6-4 win from Andrew Harris/Axel Alvarez Llamas over 6th ranked Julian Cash/Arjun Kadhe on the main court. Match on the court 3 was left to decide the first point, and the Cowboys were near to get it, as Lukas Finzelberg/Tristan Meraut had a 4-1 lead versus Maxime Mora/Andre Biro. Mora …
