Sources: No positive drug tests at NFL combine

The NFL has notified all 32 teams that no player tested positive in drug testing at February’s scouting combine, league sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The league usually distributes results of drug tests about a week before the draft and almost always, names of players with positive results appear that impact draft results.

Recent draft results have provided examples of several players who saw their draft stock drop. None of the players who have reportedly had combine drug tests flagged since 2010 were selected in the first round.

Last year, former Nebraska defensive end Randy Gregory told reporters that he tested positive for marijuana at the scouting combine. Gregory, who had been identified as a potential top-10 draft selection, saw his stock drop to the point where he was selected late in the second round (60th overall) by the Dallas Cowboys.

He is suspended for the first four games of this season after violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy during his rookie year.
