Morton goes to DL with left hamstring strain

MILWAUKEE — Phillies starter Charlie Morton had been on a roll entering Saturday night’s 10-6 win over the Brewers at Miller Park. But the team placed him on the 15-day disabled list Sunday morning.
Morton left Saturday’s game in the top of the second inning after straining his left hamstring running to first base on a sacrifice bunt attempt. The Phillies recalled right-hander Luis Garcia to take his place on the 25-man roster.
Morton, who said he felt a pop in the hamstring, will receive an MRI on Monday.
