‘Arsenal have let themselves down’

Arsenal have let themselves down this season and something at the club needs to change, says Jamie Redknapp.
Speaking ahead of the Gunners’ game with Sunderland on Super Sunday, the Sky Sports pundit was critical of a campaign that has seen the north Londoners fall way off the title pace.
Arsene Wenger had spoken exclusively to Geoff Shreeves prior to the match, pointing to injuries and a poor run in March as among the reasons for their failure.
But Redknapp believes Wenger has to take responsibility for a frustrating campaign and identified a number of areas where he feels the club must improve if they are to challenge for English football’s top prize next term.
“He can talk about all the things outside the club – like Leicester being a freak season – but Arsenal have let themselves down this year and that has to come from the manager,” Redknapp said.
