UFC 197 results: Jon Jones defeat Ovince Saint Preux by decision

UFC 197 didn’t feature the Jon Jones fans have grown to love (or hate). In a bout he was widely expected to dominate, opponent Ovince Saint Preux managed to take him to a decision and was only really in trouble once. Jones seemed to want to earn some cage time and show off his strength rather than get a quick finish. Regardless, he won a unanimous decision with two 50-45 scores and one 50-44.
Jones came out very patient in the first round. He threw a lot of his patented oblique kicks, and mixed in some body and high kicks as well. He didn’t really let his hands go, and wasn’t all that interested in wrestling. For his part, OSP looked to just be feeling Jones out a bit. But Jones’ hand fighting threw him off.
