Championship: MK Dons down

MK Dons have been relegated after a single season in the Sky Bet Championship following a 4-1 home defeat to Brentford.
Karl Robinson’s side were nine points from safety with three games left prior to kick-off but, despite taking a sixth-minute lead through Nicky Maynard, they were firmly beaten by goals from Sergi Canos, Lasse Vibe, Ryan Woods and Jake Bidwell.
Brentford move up into the Championship’s top-10 with a fifth win in six matches, going above Preston, who lost to Burnley live on Sky Sports on Friday, QPR and Leeds.
Middlesbrough missed the chance to retake top spot from the Clarets by drawing 0-0 at home to Ipswich, allowing Brighton to go level on 87 points with Boro and Burnley at the league’s summit thanks to a 3-1 win at already-relegated Charlton.
