Shenzhen International 2016: Saturday Leaderboard Scores and Highlights

Soomin Lee holds a two-shot lead heading into Sunday’s action after the third round of the 2016 Shenzhen International was suspended due to darkness Saturday. Callum Shinkwin is second after making a serious charge with a 10-under 62.

Brandon Stone and Lee Slattery are both four shots back with six holes left in their third rounds at the Genzon Golf Club. In all, there are 10 players within six shots of Lee’s lead with about a round and a half left to play Sunday.

Day 3 Recap

Shinkwin managed to finish his entire round before darkness fell in Shenzhen, and he took full advantage of it. The 22-year-old Englishman carded eight birdies, an eagle and no bogeys to jump 35 spots on the leaderboard into solo second.

He posted a one-under 71 in each of the first two rounds, leaving the 367th-ranked golfer completely off the radar heading into the weekend. But he put together perhaps the best round of his pro career to get back in the mix.
