UFC 197 Weigh-in Results: Jon Jones, Ovince St. Preux OK’d for Makeshift Headliner

Jon Jones has found his way back to the Octagon after a detour through the legal system led to a lengthy suspension and resulted in his being stripped of the Ultimate Fighting Championship light heavyweight title. Jones tipped the scales at 205 pounds ahead of his five-round clash with Ovince St. Preux (205) in the UFC 197 main event on Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. To the victor goes the interim light heavyweight crown and a unification bout with injured current champion Daniel Cormier — the man St. Preux replaced on short notice. Flyweight titleholder Demetrious Johnson (125) and unbeaten challenger Henry Cejudo (125) also hit their intended marks for the co-headliner at Friday’s official weigh-in.
