Josh Samman-Tim Boetsch among new fights added to UFC South Dakota

Earlier this week, four new fights were booked by the UFC for the promotion’s debut in South Dakota later this year. Argus Leader initially reported the news.
BloodyElbow.com’s Josh Samman will look to rebound against veteran Tim Boetsch, who is returning to the middleweight division after one unsuccessful bout at 205 pounds.
Samman (12-3) was riding a four-fight winning streak, including stoppages over Caio Magalhaes, TUF 19 winner Eddie Gordon, and Kevin Casey. In his last outing at UFC on FOX 19 this past December, however, he dropped a submission loss to Tamdan McCrory in a back-and-forth battle.
This is what Samman had to say regarding the pairing with Boetsch in a statement sent to BloodyElbow.com:
I’ve really got to thank Joe Silva for this one. The chance to return against such a seasoned vet is a great opportunity. Tim will be the first guy I’ve competed against that I’ve watched on TV for several years, and he’s fought the best of the best in this weight class. The manner in which I beat him will be a good indicator of my place in the division.
