Broncos’ Elway: Kaepernick trade is ‘dormant’

Not too long ago, it seemed like a near certainty that 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick would wind up on the Broncos. Now, that idea seems like less of a certainty and more of a slight possibility.
According to 9News’ Mike Klis, “there has been zero discussion between Broncos general manager John Elway, the 49ers and Kaepernick in the past two weeks.” On Thursday, Elway pretty much confirmed that report.
Though he didn’t rule out the possibility of the Broncos acquiring Kaepernick in the future, he didn’t sound hopeful.
