Hackenberg denies blaming Franklin for woes

Former Penn State standout quarterback Christian Hackenberg took a lot of heat recently when he reportedly threw his former coach James Franklin under the bus.
Hackenberg thrived under Bill O’Brien in his freshman year at Penn State but struggled after Franklin took over the next two years. He reportedly told teams “all the wrong things” in blaming his ex-coach (no front office or coaching guys want to hear someone blame a coach for many different reasons).
But according to Hackenberg that’s not the case. The controversial draft prospect — who could go anywhere from the first round to the third day at this point — told The Dan Patrick Show the report from Robert Klemko of TheMMQB.com wasn’t accurate.
