Wolves stun Stoke with win

Wolves won their first FA Cup tie in six years as they stunned Premier League Stoke with a 2-0 win at the bet365 Stadium.

Goals either side of half-time from Helder Costa and Matt Doherty gave Wolves a first victory in the competition since 2011, the year Stoke made the final under Tony Pulis.

The Championship club looked sharper than their hosts from the outset and were dangerous on the break early on.

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson burst forward down the right before sending efforts narrowly wide of the far post twice in the opening 10 minutes.

Stoke looked laboured but began to have some success out wide but Xherdan Shaqiri and Marko Arnautovic could not find Peter Crouch.

It had all been rather rushed and scrappy until Costa provided the first moment of class after 29 minutes.
