2016 NFL Mock Draft: Latest 1st-Round Predictions for Marquee Prospects

On Wednesday, the Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland Browns shook up the 2016 NFL draft picture once again. The Eagles announced a deal with the Browns that sent Cleveland’s No. 2 overall pick to Philadelphia and a total of five top-100 selections to Cleveland.
The trade comes less than a week after the Los Angeles Rams acquired the No. 1 pick from the Tennessee Titans.
With so many moves shaking things up, it’s time to check in with an updated mock draft. Here’s a look at a revised prediction for the first round next Thursday, followed by a breakdown of a few notable selections:

2. Philadelphia Eagles: Carson Wentz
The package of the picks the Eagles parted with is the type of haul a team rarely gives up for anything other than a quarterback. So it’s safe to assume either California’s Jared Goff or North Dakota State’s Carson Wentz will be Philadelphia’s selection.
Michael Silver of the NFL Network believes the Eagles are high on both quarterbacks but have a target in mind:
