Ludlow off due to frost
- Updated: January 6, 2017
This afternoon’s jumps fixture at Ludlow has been abandoned due to a frozen track.
Officials at the Shropshire venue were left with no alternative but to draw stumps after overnight temperatures fell to minus 3C.
Clerk of the course Simon Sherwood had intended to officially inspect the track at 0800 GMT, but, even in spite of rising temperatures, the situation was considered untenable.
