Paul Biedermann Mentor Frank Embacher Turns To Law After DSV Dismisses Him & Halle

Frank Embacher, the coach who steered Paul Biedermann to four World and 13 European crowns, is taking legal action against the German Swimming Federation (DSV) after he was told on Christmas Eve that his coaching contract at Halle would not be renewed.
Mitteldeutschen Zeitung broke the story today that Embacher, 52, is seeking legal redress for loss of employment. He says that he had been led to believe that a renewal of his contract for one more year was purely a formality. However, on Christmas Eve he received a letter from the DSV informing him that his services were no long needed.
There has yet to be any explanation as to why the DSV came to its decision but Germany head coach Henning Lambertz has told SwimVortex that he hopes to work with Embacher in future at another centre elsewhere in Germany.
