O’Brien targets Aintree with Cap

Fergal O’Brien has earmarked the Grade Two mares’ bumper at Aintree in the spring as a potential long-term target for Cap Soleil.
The four-year-old made a winning debut at Newbury last month and made it two from two when she survived a stewards’ inquiry in a Listed race at Cheltenham on New Year’s Day.
O’Brien said: “Cap Soleil is fine and I was delighted with that result.
“She really dug in for Paddy (Brennan) and has got a great attitude.
