Testy Joe Girardi blames Didi Gregorius for ‘blunder’

NEW YORK — When A reporter asked New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi about his level of frustration after another loss on Wednesday, he said, “I think you can read my face.”
If you wanted to avoid reading the man’s face, you could just listen to his words, because Girardi — who seemingly never challenges his players in the media — called out his shortstop, Didi Gregorius, for egregious baserunning in the Yankees’ 5-2 loss to the Oakland Athletics.
