Latvia – Latvian LBL round 16 best performance: Folarin Campbell

FolarinCampbell American Swingman Folarin Campbell (189-G/F-86) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked Ventspils, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 16.The 30-year old player was the main contributor (17 points, seven rebounds and two assists) to his team’s victory, helping them to beat Jekabpils (#6, 6-7) 86-72. It allowed Ventspils to consolidate first place in the Latvian LBL. Ventspils has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 13-1. In the team’s last game Campbell had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Folarin Campbell averages this season 9.6ppg. The second best player in last round’s games was 22-year old Lithuanian Denis Krestinin (202-F-94, agency: BeoBasket) of Barons Riga.
