Basketligan round 18 most important game was a victory of Nassjo over 4th ranked Uppsala Basket 86-60 on Friday night. The game without a history. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Nassjo maintains seventh position with 7-9 record. Uppsala Basket lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with seven games lost. Nassjo are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Malbas (#9) in Malmo in the next round. Uppsala Basket will have a break next round. Basketligan top team – BC Lulea (13-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat sixth ranked KFUM Jamtland (7-8) 92-75. Canadian forward Yannick Anzuluni (205-87, college: Houghton) had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Adam Ronnqvist chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. BC Lulea’s coach Peter Oqvist allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Croatian forward Dino Cinac (201-88) with 12 points and 9 rebounds. BC Lulea have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-3 record. KFUM Jamtland at the other side keeps the sixth place with eight games lost. BC Lulea will play against Umea (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. KFUM Jamtland will play against Boras Basket and hopes to get back on the winning track. The game in Umea supposed to be also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Sodertalje Kings (8-4) played at the court of 8th ranked Umea (3-12). Sodertalje Kings smashed Umea 85-55 on Wednesday. Toni Bizaca notched 28 points to lead the effort. The best player for the winners was Dejan Jeftic who scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Norrkoping Dolphins have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 12-4 record behind leader BC Lulea. KFUM Jamtland at the other side keeps the sixth place with eight games lost.
