FC Barcelona defeated 7th ranked Turkish Darussafaka at home 81-77. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Darussafaka. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Darussafaka was ahead by 5 points at the halftime before a 46-37 second half run of FC Barcelona. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a good game for Croatian center Ante Tomic (217-87, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). American-Montenegrin point guard Tyrese Rice (185-87, college: Boston Coll.) contributed with 13 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four FC Barcelona players scored in double figures. American James Anderson (198-89, college: Oklahoma St.) answered with 21 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import guard Scottie Wilbekin (188-93, college: Florida) added 19 points in the effort for Darussafaka. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Anadolu Efes and Crvena Zvezda. Darussafaka at the other side dropped to the eighth place with seven games lost. Darussafaka will play next round against Maccabi T-A trying to get back on the winning streak. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Galatasaray 41-28 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Brose Baskets shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage.
