Indianapolis Colts defensive end Robert Mathis announced his retirement Friday, bringing his 14-year career to an end, per the Indianapolis Star’s Zak Keefer.
According to Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star, Mathis made the decision more than a month ago:
