A’s back strong Graveman in win vs. Yanks

NEW YORK — Kendall Graveman worked 6 1/3 strong innings, backed by run-scoring hits from Chris Coghlan and Josh Reddick as the Athletics posted a 5-2 victory over the Yankees on Wednesday at Yankee Stadium.
Graveman limited New York to Didi Gregorius’ second-inning solo homer among just three hits, striking out eight as he led Oakland to its fourth consecutive victory. Carlos Beltran hit an eighth-inning homer for the Yankees, who have lost six of their last seven.
