Arizona prospect Lopez starting off strong in Minors

SAN FRANCISCO — Should the D-backs need a starting pitcher at some point, right-hander Yoan Lopez’s good start to the season for Double-A Mobile has him moving up the list in terms of options.
Lopez tossed six shutout innings Tuesday night in a game that GM Dave Stewart watched on his computer, and in three starts, Lopez, ranked the D-backs’ No. 8 prospect by MLBPipeline.com, is 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA.
